So Stephen got his Call! to the Spain, Malaga mission. Woah! crazy! He doesnt leave for a while (april 22) and its kinda funny cause Ben will have been out 1 year then. Maybe I can get a few more missionaries out while I am at it. I guess Spain kinda fits Stephen... wierd... but does... I don't think he really wants to speak spanish though :P too bad. Hmm.. I wonder where I will get called.... what do you think? Amanda said she can see me going to a big city like New York, or a Brittish Isles mission.. Like England or Scotland.. that might be cool

Finals week is coming up in a week and a half and boy can I feel the heat! There is much to do but I'm having help from on high to be productive and not procrastinate. Today I did well, but yesterday I slacked off quite a bit :( I'm also thinking I will need some extra help to decide a major. Bleh! You will wonder if I have been so diligent in my homework how I was able to watch this youtube video, but oh well... its a good one. :D
I am thankful for my family!!!! :D they are even more wonderful the older I get and the longer I have lived away from them :) I love them so much!
Thanksgiving was WONDERFUL! I love spending time with my family! (and I missed Sarah and Jeff) It was fun starting new traditions too. Mom had us all drink shots of V8 before the meal for our health since it was something that she used to do when she was living in Goosebay. We all did our best not scrunching up our faces when we gulped it down and then took really fast drinks of water afterwards. I am proud to say that even though it didn't taste very good, I still drank the whole thing, and I think it helped me get over my cold! :P We also had rolls from Texas Roadhouse instead of cresent roll :( It's ok though, since I have some cresents in my fridge at home that I can make up! I also thought it was fun that Stephen came up and ate with us...even if no one else thought so. Hehe!!! He did a good job helping debone the turkey at least ;) He should be getting his mission call this week! Woot Woot!!! I am SO excited for him! :D

Photoshop
Hey all! :D
I've been playing around with photoshop lately and trying out different tutorials from online (if any of you are trying to figure out photoshop, I highly suggest lookin up online tutorials. There are TONS and many of them are REALLY neat!). Here are a couple of pictures that I photoshopped:
Karl on the horse (does anyone know the horses name?) I like the colors in the AFTER picture and I think the solar flare is pretty neat too (even though it makes all of the shadows way off :P)

Maybe the spot light is too harsh on the second one ;) And I guess the AFTER ones are not TOO much different other than the color....Anyway... what do you guys think? And Special thanks to Sarah for all the nice photography! :D Love you all!
P.S. How do I make it so that you can click on the pictures and another window pops up with the bigger pic?

This is a silly picture... but i thought it was fun! I sent mom a bouquet of chocolate covered fruit from Edible Arrangements for her birthday & asked Frannie to send me a picture...
I hope it tastes as good as it looks :)Also, i thought that there was supposed to be/or going to be little pineapple daisies in there... but i don't see any... are they in there somewhere??

Actividades
Why am I the only one of the "hermana's" that posts anything? Anyway, today is going pretty good so far. I woke up early for an LDSSA officers meetings, and we planned a (going to be) super fun activity for September 26th: DODGEBALL! I am getting pretty excited about it already! I have been asked to be the LDSSA secretary, which is pretty cool. I am glad I am that and not the historian...for some reason...it just doesn't sound like that great of a job. hehe! (even though I know mom was historian for some club/sorority thing when she was in college... I don't get to go to Disney Land for job:)
I also went to the YSA super activity last night. FUN! I saw some people that I hadn't seen in a long time, like Brian Qualls, who is playing football for the Navy! And he is actually going to Iraq sometime in October! It was fun to see him tho. And someone I met Friday(sorta... i kinda already knew him, just not formally) asked for my phone number :O hehe! that's funny... I actually have a date with him on Wednesday.. Sorta... I won a bet and now he has to come clean my floor... If you can call that a date :P That kid sure knows how to dance tho! I had a blast swing dancing with him! And the floor even cleared for us! I LOVE dancing! and not just with a partner. I'm sure I look crazy and weird, but I know my moves are awesome! hehe!
Here's a pic of my dancing get up. :)

My first few weeks of school are going pretty good. It sure is a load off to not be taking Math this semester. And as expected... I am undecided again.... Engineering......Elementary/Secondary Education......Accounting......Engineering......Teaching....... Bleh! Looks like I need to council with the Lord a little more.
As of now, I am still letterless :( But I am ok.. I just have to keep telling myself that its all to strengthen my patience and endurance :D My long Tuesdays help strengthen that as well.
FYI: I am making spaghetti for dinner tonight! Yeah! I bought some rolls at the Fry's today too! (I guess I should have bought some lettuce for a salad...) Anyway... I love you guys!

I'm loving my new house! My room is SWEET! Thanks a ton to my wonderful family who helped me move and get settled in! I like not having to get up 45 min early just for the commute and I like being so close to all the action happening down here. hehe! maybe that's not the best thing... I should set myself a curfew................... hehe! we'll see.

Mucho de Maggie
So I love checking all of the blogs that are saved in my favorites (HostesswiththeMostess, thePittards, HeubieNews, Elder Wood, LostAtC, LizzieBCr8ive, etc.) although I always feel disappointed when there's no new posts on them. And of course, the 100hourboard only updates once a day :P So, how do I get over it? I come and blog myself so that other people can find happiness in my new post! :) Actually, this is my first post on a blog ever. I'm glad that Sarah started up a family one so that I don't have to finish thinking up a name for MY blog (I couldn't think of one, so I stopped there). Anyway, a little about whats going on with me: I got my hair cut today! yay! I am excited to see my oldest sister tomorrow! and I invited a boy to the football game that I am sort of regretting inviting (hopefully he doesn't find this blog :P). No... he is very fun... I am excited to go. I just didn't know that this OTHER boy was free that night. Hehe! enough of that. Boys are a pain. :P Speaking of which, the mail system is FAR too slow for me. I get frustrated every single day when I go to the mailbox KNOWING that Elder Hawkins sent me a letter but it not being there. GRR.. Hopefully I get it someday :(
I just started my second year of U of A and I am glad to be settling into my classes a bit. It took a while to solidify my schedule. I am super excited to move down to the Lester house on Monday, but I will DEFINITELY miss my mother's wonderful cooking! Hopefully I will survive school while living on my own! You might also be interested to know that I have been thinking about which major I am going to choose and I am leaning very close to ENGINEERING! I'm extremely scared for that, but we will see what happens.
Lately I have been feeling very grateful for the immeasurable love of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I am pleasantly surprised by the tender mercies of the Lord when I am blessed with people and opportunities that cause me to greater understand that love. I rejoice in his mercy when I see the difficult repentance process in action. I know that he loves EVERYONE and just wants us to be happy! Satan often deceives us into thinking that we are not good enough to repent. For anyone that feels that way, don't. Christ's atonement is valid for everyone and for everything. For big sins and little sins. How awesome! Trust me, do what it takes to find this out and your joy will be SO GREAT! It's so worth it to have the spirit in your life. Having the spirit helping you in your life is WONDERFUL and it is something that I hope I can have more often in my life. Along that line, I hope to be better in counseling with the Lord in ALL THINGS.
This gospel rocks.
And hopefully Sarah can show me some super blogging skills to better my posts :)
Until then, I should work on my homework.
